Mayfair
Mayfair was mostly developed during the 17th and 18th century, and is a very commercialized and fashionable area. Its prestige and reputation is even evident on the British version of Monopoly, being the most expensive piece of property that you can buy. In real life, it’s pretty much the same story. Rent here is sky-high and is some of the most expensive rents you can pay anywhere in London. In fact, it’s one of the highest in the world. London’s biggest concentration of luxurious hotel accommodations and restaurants are found in the Mayfair area.
This is a very unique place to visit, with its upper-style shopping venues that are exclusive to the area, amazingly gorgeous gardens, and high-end residential areas. Although it is definitely an expensive place to call home, you can still enjoy a vacation in Mayfair without breaking the bank. If you’re on a budget and want to visit the exquisite area of Mayfair for yourself, then consider coming here during the cheaper times of year. The best times to visit if you want to save as much money as possible are during January and July. Restaurants and shopping venues all tend to offer sale prices during January. But if you want to get a good deal on hotels, they tend to offer better prices during the winter (December-March).
